HIKE SUCCESS!

Our 2nd hike event of the year took place last Saturday 23rd June and what a day it was!  Perfect weather conditions and a great company of hikers coming in from various parts of the West of Scotland.

Our group of 20 enthusiastic hikers left the starting point at Hewitt & Aker Deli in Killearn under the leadership of experienced Hike Guide, Nick Hawkins.  Through Gartness and onto Drymen, we walked onto the West Highland Way and took our lunch stop 2 hours in at Garadhban Forrest. A good time to rest up, fuel up and get prepared for the 2nd leg of the hike.

Post lunch, we started our ascent on Conic Hill.  This part of the country is so beautiful, taking in the scenery around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs helped us along the way.  The views looking over to the loch are stunning.  Our hikers talked about getting active and outdoors, away from their daily stresses, as well as discussing their fitness goals and challenges.  Here's some pics of the day..
