Put the kettle on..

Our first food show of the year got off with a great start when we took our tea on the road to the Drymen Show, Stirlingshire last month.  In fairness, we didn’t travel far as its our local event to THOM&TEA HQ and one we will participate in each year.  Thanks to everyone who came by our stand and had a chat and cup of tea with us, it was a great day!

We spent the month of May asking people what their favourite blends are so we can continue to bring fresh flavours to our brand.  Chai tea is popular at the moment, chai from India is a spiced tea, most commonly using cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and pepper. Indian chai gives a warming, soothing effect, acting as a natural digestive aid and a feeling of well being.  I’m also keen to bring a Berries Fruit Tea to you as it is always a favourite in my household, even my daughter enjoys it...light relief for parents wanting to reduce the sugar intake!!  More blends to come after Summer, message us if you have some suggestions!

Our surprise best seller this month was our Mint Chocolate Rooibos.  It’s the perfect after dinner drink with its burst of peppermint and hint of Cacao bean pieces.  A great palate cleanser after a meal.  Head over to thomandtea.com and read more.  We also started our Gifting section just in time for Father’s Day (18th June for UK) and don’t forget to pick up a caddy for the end of term Teachers gift!

Hoping that our upcoming Thom’s Club Hike on Saturday 17th June gets a rain-free day!  Come along if you fancy a hike up Conic Hill, by Balmaha, Loch Lomond, I promise you a cup of tea at the top! (go to @thomandtea facebook page for more information)

Have a great month ahead and I hope the sun shines for you.
